Group Mentoring

Group mentoring involves providing support, guidance and education to individuals in a group setting who are seeking to commit to a lifestyle without alcohol. This form of mentoring creates a community where participants can share experiences, learn from each other and receive guidance from me, their alcohol-free mentor. Group Mentoring unleashes a sense of community where participants are encouraged to share experiences and experience the mutual support of other participants. It will empower participants to make positive changes in their lives and build a strong foundation to achieve their long-term goals to enjoy a life free from alcohol. Key components of this process are:

  • Facilitating group discussions on challenges, successes

  • Encouraging peer support and connection among group participants

  • Recognising and celebrating milestone and achievement in the journey towards an alcohol-free life

  • Reinforcing positive behaviours and fostering a sense of accomplishment

  • Allowing the expertise in the group to flourish

  • Promoting a sense of self-efficacy among group participants

  • Assisting participants to develop personalised plan that will ensure that their goals are met

  • Discussing strategies for preventing and managing relapses
